UNICEF Issues Warning on Gaza’s Hunger Crisis
"Hunger is widespread in Gaza and people are dying," the organization stated on X, depicting a bleak reality for those living under the Israeli siege.
Highlighting the severity of the situation, UNICEF noted that "deadly malnutrition among children is reaching catastrophic levels," adding that "food is dangerously scarce, and clean water is below emergency levels."
The agency further explained that "aid is severely restricted and dangerous to access," underscoring the immense challenges faced by humanitarian efforts.
Stressing the critical nature of the crisis, UNICEF declared: "Enough is enough. The United Nations must be allowed to deliver aid of all types at scale to families, wherever they are."
"Starvation is a horrific reality for children and families in Gaza," the agency emphasized, urging immediate access for aid to reach the enclave.
This urgent appeal from UNICEF comes amid Israel’s unrelenting military operations across the Gaza Strip, with the famine worsening and claiming an increasing number of lives.
