FM of Turkey to hold Gaza summit in Istanbul
The talks will focus on the latest developments in the ceasefire agreed on October 10 and the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Gaza. Fidan is expected to criticize Israel for creating pretexts to end the truce and emphasize the need for the international community to respond firmly to Tel Aviv’s actions.
He will also highlight the importance of coordinated efforts among Muslim nations to transform the ceasefire into a lasting peace. Fidan is set to point out that the humanitarian aid currently reaching Gaza is insufficient and that Israel has not met its obligations in this area, stressing that ensuring uninterrupted and adequate aid is both a humanitarian and legal imperative.
Additionally, Fidan will call for the swift implementation of arrangements allowing Palestinians to manage Gaza’s security and administration while safeguarding their rights and advancing the vision of a two-state solution. The minister will underline the need for ongoing consultations and close coordination on related actions within UN forums.
