Renewed Explosions Shake Tehran

(MENAFN) A new series of detonations struck Tehran on Tuesday, as the ongoing confrontation involving the United States and Israel against Iran continued to unfold. The latest incidents add to the growing instability in the region.

According to a correspondent, powerful blasts were heard across the Iranian capital, with visible plumes of smoke emerging from northern districts of the city. The situation appeared tense as the sounds echoed through multiple neighborhoods.

Local Iranian outlets also indicated that explosions occurred in the western and southern sections of Tehran, suggesting that the impact was not limited to a single area but spread across different parts of the capital.

In response to the strikes, Iran promptly activated its air defense systems, signaling heightened alertness and readiness to counter further threats.

Tensions in the region have sharply intensified since US and Israeli military actions against Iran commenced on Feb. 28. In retaliation, Tehran has launched repeated drone and missile attacks aimed at Israel as well as Gulf nations that host American military installations.
